Legal Group tell IRS to back off intimidating churches - Finally someone has the right idea about this problem. And he is offering free legal help to back it up. Churches need to fight this, not so they can be political, but because they are Americans, entitled to the same rights as other Americans. Its time "good" people can speak for candidates and issues with the same freedom as the "immoral" and "corrupt" people. This is even more important in light of how the churches lost this freedom to begin with, a freedom they had and exercised from the founding of the country until Lyndon Johnson. After the churches warned the people of Johnson's wrong doings durning his campaign for senate, he got congress to pass the law saying they would loose their tax exempt status if they tried to tell the truth about a candidate ever again. Shamefully the congress and the American people have gone along with the unconstitutional law ever since.
