In math there are many formulas. And if you leave out one of the elements of the formula, you are generally guarenteed to get the wrong answer. In real life situations the wrong answer can lead to everything from inconvenience to death.
Education has a formula too, and for the last forty years the United States has left out two of the three elements. As a result, we spend more money and have less educated students, and have seen a dramatic decrease in prosperity, freedom, happiness, and even life.
The incorrect, and failed, formula used for education from 1962 to the present is:
Knowledge = Education
The correct, and successful, formula used for education from the pilgrims until 1962 was:
Religion + Morality + Knowledge = Education
We can trace the origin of this formula.
At the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor we find the most recent evidence that Michigan once used the correct formula. On a grand building with massive pillars just across State Street and slightly to the north, from the student union building, if you look up over the pillers, you will find inscribed the following words:
"Religion, morality and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged."
Further research traces the origin of this inscription to the Michigan constitution, which in article VIII section 1 says:
"Religion, morality and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged."
This phrase from the Michigan constituton can be traced back further to the federal 'Ordinance of 1787' passed by the men who wrote the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and signed into law by President George Washington. This ordinance set forth the requirements for territories to become states along with the original 13. In Article III of the Ordinance it says:
"Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged"Michigan is in desperate need of candidates who will restore the United States Founding Father's formula for education by serving as members of the "State Board of Education", "University of Michigan Board of Regents", "Wayne State University Board of Governors", and "Michigan State University Board of Regents".
The enemy, with their formula that virtually guarentees only one thing, better educated criminals, is deeply entrenched. The quality of candidate needed, is one of strong character and conviction, someone who will not back down when heckled to "keep religion out of this".
