GLOBAL
WARMING has become a hot topic of
discussion today. Former Vice
President, Al Gore recently launched a $300 million advertisement campaign
to increase awareness of the subject, and has trained hundreds, maybe
thousands of volunteers to set up meetings in which to show his "An
Inconvenient Truth" video presentation. Global warming and
environmentalism have reached the status of being worthy to qualify as
valid issues to be considered in presidential
campaigns. What is global warming
all about and why is it important to understand? There are many people who are not
aware of the direct effect the debate is having on their lives. It is, in fact a very serious
issue, and should be understood by the American
people. This Saturday, April 19,
2008, there will be an informational meeting of the US Taxpayers Party of
Michigan held at the Gaines Twsp Library at 421 68th Street SE,
Grand Rapids, MI 49548, to
discuss the factual elements of the global warming issue and how it
affects you. The meeting will
start at 10:00 A.M. and will last until noon. Coffee and punch will be
provided. At the meeting we will
see what it is that causes global warming. We will learn what ozone is and
the importance of the ozone layer, what the scientists are saying, and the
political ramifications of the actions being taken to solve the global
warming "crisis" Please join us if you
