War

The more important question is: Should we declare war as required by our constitution? George Washington said: "The constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure."

Now we have a "tiger by the tail." If we do not succeed, we will be attacked viciously at in our country.

America has, starting with the Korean War and without a formal declaration of war, unconstitutionally waged war off and on for the last fifty-six years. I want to change that.

I would try to get a declaration of war debated for possible passage rather than continue to wage war on the decision of the president only.

Goals (including possible time lines) would be debated in a proposal of declaration of war.
