Farmers: Competitiveness, Tariffs and Price Supports

No other nation's farmers excel American farmers.

The federal government should levy tariffs on imported foods equal to the regulatory cost imposed by our government on our farmers but which their foreign competition don’t have. Additional tariffs equaling the foreign farmers’ subsidies should also be added to the tarrifs. That will level the "playing field" enough that our farmers can be very competitive.

In addition, U.S. price supports financed at taxpayers expense and which also raise food prices for the taxpayer, must be repealed.
