By decreasing taxes and regulations on industry Michigan will have an improved work environment. I plan to introduce legislation that will stop the federal government from using taxpayers’ money to subsidize the financing of factories in China and other Most Favored Nations that then flood this nation with cheap goods and put Americans out of work.
Free trade is good, but tariffs should be levied on goods from nations that use slave labor or do not impose the costs that our government imposes on our companies (e.g. unemployment taxes, environmental regulation costs, workmen’s compensation costs, etc).
