Drug Enforcement and the Practice of Medicine

I definitely oppose the federal government’s intrusion into the practice of medicine except in the military services and Indian reservations where it specifically has constutional authority. Those who support "death with dignity" have experienced first-hand the heavy hand of government (Washington D.C. or Salem, OR) when the federal government overruled their state's enactment legalizing doctor's prescribing drugs to kill patients.

Remember George Washington’s observation: "Government is not reason. It is not eloquence. It is a force, like fire: a dangerous servant and a terrible master."
