The federal government is reluctantly allowing a only few pilots to carry pistols to regain control of their planes in an attempted highjacking; it prefers to shoot down passenger planes with fighters using 50 caliber machine guns rather than letting every pilot have the ability to regain control of his plane with a pistol.

Our rulers show no trust in this nation’s citizens and treat them with contempt while harassing them with onerous regulations. Do our rulers not realize that their greatest asset is the citizen who wants a safe society and is willing to protect it with his life if need be? Why does the federal government continue to disarm and render its citizens helpless?
